I was once a homeowner for 10 years with a family. A home filled with many memories over those years.

Due to a series of unfortunate events, my financial life began to spiral out of control, and I wasn’t able to feed my family and pay my mortgage on time. I received threatening letters of my home scheduled to be foreclosed. 

I fought to keep my home, but in the end I lost.

I know what it feels like to hurry, pack up and not to mention search for an affordable place to live.  Starting over was a heartbreaking, painful experience.

Months after moving to a new place. I began receiving letters in the mail, stating how much money belonged to me.  I thought it was a hoax. There was no way I had money due to me.  I just had my home taken due to foreclosure.

One letter resonated with me, I acted, submitted the requested documents, and returned the letter to the sender. Months later, I received a check, which changed our lives financially.

In most cases, your home may sell for more than what’s owed causing overages.  The state will mail you a letter to notify you. However, it’s at the address you were evicted causing you not to see the letter.
